Frequently Asked Questions
Ordering, delivery and the menu — for parents and offices in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
How does school meal delivery work?
Order by 9 p.m. the night before. The meal is cooked fresh the next morning and picked up from the Leafy Station at your child’s school gate, before school starts.
Can I get a school meal without the morning rush — a 2-minute meal?
Yes. The same school meal is delivered home the evening before, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., ready to cook. It takes about two minutes to heat through, and should always be heated right through before it is packed — never sent cold.
How do salad bowls work, and when do they arrive?
Every bowl is chopped after you order it, never made ahead and held. It is delivered to your office or home in a half-hour window you pick, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m..
Can I get something delivered today?
No — every order, school meal or salad bowl, is for a later day. Nothing is delivered on the day it is ordered.
Which areas does Leafy deliver to?
Parts of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar — not the whole of either city. Checkout asks for your PIN code and tells you right away if it falls outside the delivery area.
Is Leafy a vegetarian kitchen?
No. Leafy is a cloud kitchen, and egg is used as a protein option in some dishes.
Can I change or cancel a school meal order?
Yes — you can edit a school meal order any time up to 9 p.m. the night before. After that cutoff, the kitchen has already started cooking for the morning.
What is the Meal Card?
Prepaid credit you load once, with a 20% bonus added on top, to spend on school meals or salad bowls, any day. No plans, no expiry.
What is Chef Avo, and how does it pick a meal for me?
Chef Avo is a short quiz, not a chatbot: it asks a handful of quick questions, then matches your answers against the dishes actually on the menu today. It can only recommend a real, available dish — it never invents one or suggests something the kitchen isn’t currently making.
How Chef Avo picks your meal
Chef Avo isn’t a chatbot — it’s a short quiz. Here’s exactly what it asks and how it replies, straight from the first fork.
If it's for a school kid
If it's a salad bowl
From here it keeps adapting — dressing, protein, anything to avoid — until it's confident enough to show three real dishes from today's menu. Try it yourself with the Chef Avo button on the home page.
